The socks that help everyone be who they are
People with disabilities in Sri Lanka typically face significant stigma and discrimination. Due to cultural beliefs disabilities are often seen as fate for wrong-doing in a previous life, and abandoned at a young age since disability is perceived as omens of bad luck leaving them with zero chance to express themselves as individuals. MAZE believes in helping people be who they are and express their personalities, regardless of who they are. So partnering with Prithipura Communities who is an essential part of disability support in Sri Lanka was a no brainer.
MAZE of Love is one way that we're trying to give back to the society and provide some positivity to anyone who deserves it in Sri Lanka. Socks might not be the first thing on their minds, but they are an essential item of the daily attire for most of the working crowd and school children.
